New Shop Updates for August!
•Posted on August 03 2020
Hello everyone!
This past month has been an extremely busy one! At the beginning of this month, we wrapped up our Okra Project sticker fundraiser which raised $425. Those stickers have been sent out and extras will be listed by the end of the week. We officially launched our first batch of SIA options and I am especially excited to add apparel options soon. This past week I've been super hard at work prepping for LPC National Convention, which I was so excited to partner with the convention team to offer convention gifts! For those who were at convention, gifts will start to go out after the end of this week - so hold off on buying para until then.
Behind the Scenes
Pa'lante is now an official, registered Limited Liability Company! It's wild to think that I've been able to make this step, and intimidating at the same time. With this new level of responsibility, I have a lot left to learn and I can't wait to share as I figure it all out!
Thanks to my partner, some great friends, and all of you, I've been able to purchase a Cricut Maker, heat-press, some organizational furniture, a ton of vinyl, and more. With these new items, I'll be able to make some of my stickers and small-batch apparel in-house. This will let me test out concepts and make smaller runs of designs I really want to try out, so I can work on scaling up at a rate that is comfortable for me. I can also start making decals in-house and hopefully full-color stickers in the near future (a quality printer is next on the wishlist!). Lastly, this gives me the flexibility to offer customization on some products when I have the availability to do so.
Looking to the Future
Production is finally picking up with my print-on-demand manufacturing partner which means that I can finally start adding some of the apparel designs I've been holding onto since earlier this summer. These designs should go up by mid-August. I am also finalizing some logistics to add a new sorority at the tail end of summer/early fall (super hesitant to give it a date since I've been trying to add this organization for a year now, but I see the light at the end of the tunnel, y'all). Lastly, I want to get around to posting some helpful chapter/undergraduate resources I've been slowly working on amongst all the business of this past month
I would love to hear more about what types of products are helpful to y'all (for instance, adding face masks across organizations or focusing on something else). Shoot me a message if you have any ideas I can take into consideration.
Always appreciative of all the support I've gotten from my lovely group of followers! You all keep me motivated and inspired. Love y'all.
In unity,
Julia
